[/center]Can you hear the heart beat
pounding in your ears?
Can you feel the adrenaline
caused by your fears?
Ignore them, they're just jealous we're still here.
o. The evening had been harsh, the temperature had dropped down to thirty degrees and was almost unbearable. The horses here didn't grow winter coats, for the days sun was boiling hot. The temperature had already stated to rise as the sun started to peak over the horizon. As the warmth hit Cole's dark coat he opened his eyes. Again he had a dreamless night, never did he remember his dreams and how fast he forgot his youth. It was a shame to him that something so great as the past faded so quickly from memory as the future neared. Colateral snorted softly, now starting to regain the feeling in his nose. He was slowly warming up as he started to walk. It was his daily routine, much like Rasheeka's to explore the pastures.
oo. The stallion stepped out of the paddock where the horses were gathered and headed towards the stable; well what was left with it. An old barn cat spooked and ran under his feet as he reached the entrance. Colateral reared in annoyance and glanced around. Nothing was there, as always. The fog was lifting slowly off the lush grass, giving off a glowing gold light as the sun hit it. Today felt like a nice day, but so did everyother morning. When the sun was at it's highest, they would be standing in their sweat.
ooo. Cole walked to the side of the barn and dipped his head into the water tough. It always seemed full, never empty. It was strange how the human underground wells worked but as long as there was water he didn't care. He drank it slowly then hit the water hard with his nose. It sent water dropplets everywhere, soaking Coles face rather thoroughly. He didn't care it was routine, and he needed to wake up for it. He shouted out greetings to the wakening horses as he strolled calmly past. He looked over the great valleys and beautiful landscape. Beyond the trees, barely visible was a gray patch of land. It was the graveyard, the headstones seemed to blend together from this distance making the ground appear quite gray and dead looking. The forest surrounding it didn't look much more alive then the graveyard. Cole knew what was there and he knew Rasheeka would be doing her daily routine like himself, yet it was a secret. They weren't supposed to know about eachother, these two worlds were not supposed to co-exist. Now he waits for the day to begin, as always.
